Bush Wishes He Could Be In The Exciting and Romantic Afghanistan War
By Tom Wieliczka

US Soldiers who have served in Afghanistan and are now Veterans, are expressing their disbeliefs at Bush's comments about war being “romantic” and “exciting”!  Yes folks; the same George W. Bush, who avoided serving during the Vietnam War as he went AWOL, now thinks that war is romantic and exciting.

"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said.

"If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed.

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger.  You're really making history, and thanks," President Bush said.

How many of you have read these comments in your local or any major newspaper or seen these Bush comments replayed in an endless loop on every “news” networks, round the clock, for over a week; and then slammed by every talk show pundit?

You say you haven’t read or seen these comments?  Gee, I thought we had a “Liberal Media”.

May I suggest if Bush thinks war is so "romantic" and "exciting", perhaps he would like to take the place of one of these young men in the link of pictures below, who was killed by serving his country and put HIMSELF in their flag draped, "exciting”, “romantic” coffins!

Flag Draped Coffins

Bush, with all his ineptness, keeps forgetting that going to war IS NOT FREE!

With that Mission UNaccomplished banner in the background, AWOL Bush should get back in his stunt flight suit and take-off from the USS Lincoln for Iraq with Five-Deferment Cheney and GI JOE Lieberman, where the three of them would be on their own.  This time you clowns will be dropped in an area in Baghdad that has not been swept for IEDs by the Marines before your arrival.  You won’t have a brigade of soldiers surrounding you, along with Blackhawk helicopters protecting you from overhead during your “exciting” and “romantic” mission.  Any you’ll be given the same warn out equipment that your budget cuts created.

Oh, and Bush, just a hint of advice for the three of you.  When those IEDs go off, they make more than just an “little boom” sound.  Just wanted to make sure you three “macho” clowns knew this.

Here are the responses from some Afghanistan Veterans, upon hearing of Bush’s comments, on VoteVets.org.

It took the Australian News to cover Bush's outrageous statements.  Our American media has been AWOL just like BUSH (no pun intended) on this news.

Afghanistan challenge romantic – Bush
US President George W Bush says he would fight in Afghanistan if he was younger

So again I ask, where is the non-stop, endless loop coverage showing Bush say these comments to the soldiers in Afghanistan and every talk show slamming Bush for saying them?

It's time to slam the networks and papers with questions on why their coverage of these comments disappeared into thin air and spread the word.

Liberal Media?  WHAT Liberal Media?
